These bobbin lace patterns were published in St. Louis, Missouri by the Torchon Lace Company (later the Torchon Lace and Mercantile Company) and were intended for use with the company's Princess Lace Loom (later the Princess Lace Machine). The instructions for these patterns were published in the company's booklet titled The American Lace Maker (Illustrated) Volume One.
